V I S I O N - B O A R D⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ T O R E A L I T Y⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This place was on my vision board for years - a secret reveal here: as a young single mum, I timed it, I didn't go on holiday for about 8 years straight!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Burnout was an understatement - I underestimated the power of re-charing batteries (but also couldn't 'afford' to go on holiday - and he universe certainly matched me on that vibration!! lol!!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But with my dedicated journey to change, I started getting clear on what I desired. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The thing is I didn't know HOW these things on my vision-board were going to happen, but I still wrote it on my wishlist.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I won't go into details of how the magic happened, but this is our holiday from a couple of years back and this Summer we are going back!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love this place - South of France. Hello gorgeous soul,⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Picture this...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Me many moons ago, when I hit rock bottom. Lying on my bed in despair.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I couldn't figure out why I'd ended up a solo parent, no money, no idea how I could make my passions 'work' & feeling totally alone!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wanted to give up. I felt out of synch with who I was. I knew life shouldn't feel or be like this, and I asked myself "how did this happen?"⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Totally at the 'end', and realising I couldn't go any lower, I had to do something. I reached out for my no.1 saviour - a life-changing book. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I will never forget this book. It will ALWAYS stick with me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As I started doing what it advised me to do.....⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I felt the shifts. B E L I E F S . Beliefs are interpretations of the world and our experience that go beyond language. . We developed beliefs from many places and experiences and as we grow these thoughts and beliefs inform our decisions and actions as they’ve become ‘embedded’. Some do not serve. . This is the basis of the work I do with my clients. . In order to change something we identify what is happening - current beliefs - (& what is not working or is self-limiting) in order to be able to release and change the thoughts (& the energy around them). . Why do we do this? . In order to do, be, have the lives we desire we need to do that, otherwise outmoded beliefs hold us back and no matter what action we take, it will seemingly not be working! . Who's ever experienced that?! I know I have! . It wasn't until I understood more about myself and where and why I had adopted the feelings & beliefs I had, could I change and move on. . Success looks so different for all of us, but there's a KEY to it - whatever it looks like..... . Being able to IMAGINE it first and to FEEL & TRUST we will achieve it. . Most achievements and successes are seen in the mind's eye first. . . The trust is knowing it WILL happen, but possibly we don't HOW it will come to be. . This is the great mystery, and the element that makes life FUN. . Always remain focused in the present and desired destiny you choose going forward. The past means looking behind us and that doesn't always lead to the right places as we can get 'stuck' . B A L A N C E & C A L M . What do you need in order to have that balance and calm in your life? The thing that releases stress and creates inner-peace? . Many of us who work for ourselves find that we are always 'working' - or at least I have a tendency to do that! Especially now as I'm creating my membership site, running new programmes & e-courses, becoming an MSCoach (which of course I'm super excited about). And the journey to ease and grace needs regular practice (repetition anyone to be an expert in anything?!) :-) . I know I have - and still am - creating a life I love & when I look back at those journals from years ago it's so re-assuring to know how far I’ve journeyed. The inner work and raising of consciousness and self-awareness definitely brings about change. . Some things I do in order to create balance and calm in my life are: . - spend time in nature (the allotment!) . - exercise (even 5 mins of yoga in the morning & regular cycling or walking) . - hugs . - connecting with loved ones and chatting things through and planning positive things! . - writing my gratitude journal . - meditating/visualising . - reading . Today's invitation is to carve out time to do 3 things that bring about a change of state or being (that's positive) and aim to make it a regular practice so you can see the long-term results in your life :-) .
